Kirsty Mitchell’s late mother Maureen was an English teacher who spent her life inspiring generations of children with imaginative stories and plays. Following Maureen’s death from a brain tumour in 2008, Kirsty channelled her grief into her passion for photography.

She retreated behind the lens of her camera and created Wonderland, an ethereal fantasy world. The photographic series began as a small summer project but grew into an inspirational creative journey.

‘Real life became a difficult place to deal with, and I found myself retreating further into an alternative existence through the portal of my camera,’ said the artist. (read the rest here).

This article may go slightly overboard on the power of men in a woman’s perception, but it’s impressive that he’s actually going out of his way to tell men to ante up and take responsibility for a screwed up society, and help change the way the world is, rather than forcing the women of the world to do it all ourselves.

And that deserves major kudos.

Honestly, I’m really intrigued about what the DLC is going to look like for this game. Are we just going to get nifty new weapons or something? Will there be new levels? And where on earth would they put them?

I wouldn’t call it grounds for murder. Honestly, I didn’t think it’s much of a spoiler at all— it’s a very little detail, and all it does is explain why a major element of the game is physically possible.

The major spoiler would be to reveal who did the passing.

I’ve got a very specific rule on what spoilers are okay and which aren’t:

1) The spoilers that just make you go “Oh, that’s why. Huh.” are safe as far as I’m concerned.

2) The information that completely recontextualizes everything that happened before, or else it’s the Big Question that drives the whole game/book/movie.

For me, “what am I?” was an ancillary question at best. The bigger questions (the ones that drove me, at least) were “will he bring THEM the girl?” and “Which one of them will survive to see the end of the game?” (because all my experience with this sort of thing told me that one would get a happily-ever-after and the other would die in a heart-wrenching sacrifice for the other.)

The answers to both those questions— and the way they were answered— very much impressed me.

This is a lovely song, but I have a hard time listening to it. It just brings too much back of that ending.

But then, I have a hard time listening to soundtracks of things I’m familiar with, because I can’t sever the memories from the sounds.
